We welcome you to join us as we examine the Lutheran teachings of the Christian faith. We offer comfortable, easy, and friendly classes for anyone interested in becoming a member of St. Michael whether by transfer, associate, or adult confirmation.   Read on to find  out more, and  if you have additional questions please call the church office at 239-939-4711.   Your steps to join our church family are easy:

  • Complete and turn in a New Member Class Attendee Information form, then...

  • Attend the Adult Information Class referenced below

  • Attend the "Introduction to St. Michael 101" sessions (see below)

  • Be received as a New Member during a St. Michael's worship service and, if desired, attend the New Member Dinner hosted in your honor.

“If you want to find out more about what the Bible teaches, where Saint Michael stands on faith issues, or you are interested in taking the first step toward becoming a member of Saint Michael, come to the Adult Information Class (held as a 2 day, 6-hour weekend seminar) which will share with you the major Biblical teachings of the Christian faith.  This informal class is led by Pastor Jon Zehnder… you can ask questions, -- but you will not be required to read, answer questions, etc.

For those of you who hold current membership in another Lutheran Church, this class is not required but it is certainly recommended.  All you need do is to request the office to send for your membership transfer if you are interested in joining Saint Michael (and then join us for our "Introduction to St. Michael" Class #101).   We hope that you will join many other life-long Lutherans who still come to the Adult Information Class to recall those things that they learned during their confirmation days and to refresh their memory of what we believe as Christians who celebrate our faith in the Lutheran Church.”
